Pelatihan Persiapan UTBK untuk Siswa SMA Negeri 2 Gunung Talang: Upaya Meningkatkan Kesiapan Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri

The Computer-Based Written Exam (UTBK) is the primary pathway to state universities (PTN) in Indonesia. However, many students in rural areas face serious challenges in preparing for the UTBK, primarily due to limited access to preparation materials, training, and computer experience. To address this challenge, a community service team comprised of lecturers from Mahaputra Muhammad Yamin University held UTBK training for students at SMA Negeri 2 Gunung Talang. The training, conducted over 12 sessions, used a participatory approach, encompassing academic training, exam simulations, and motivational mentoring. Although no formal assessment was conducted, observations and feedback from participants indicated an increased understanding of the UTBK format, increased self-confidence, and improved basic computer skills. The program also strengthened partnerships between universities and high schools. This training serves as a simple intervention model that can be replicated to support more equitable access to higher education in Indonesia.
