Pembentukan Kelompok Sadar Wisata (POKDARWIS) Simpang Sembilan Jorong Rawang Abu Nagari Koto Laweh Kecamatan Lembang Jaya Kabupaten Solok

Abstract

The community service programme is a means for universities to carry out the third darma of higher education, namely community service. One of the programmes that has been implemented by Nagari Binaan Mahaputra Muhammad Yamin University is the formation of a Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) Simpang Sembilan Jorong Rawang Abu, Nagari Koto Laweh, Lembang Jaya sub-district, Solok Regency. POKDARWIS stands for Tourism Awareness Group. It is an institution that plays an important role in the development of the tourism sector in its area. In general, the purpose of forming this group is to develop the tourism potential that exists in Nagari Koto Laweh which is the assisted village of Mahaputra Muhammad Yamin University Solok. The steps taken in this activity include: Socialisation of the implementation of activities, Construction of the Assisted Nagari Post, Formation of Pokdarwis management, joint activities in the fields of Ecotourism and Integrated Agriculture by involving the Pokdarwis Management that has been formed. From the evaluation of the activity, it can be explained that the Ecotourism Sector Activities in Nagari Koto Laweh, Lembang Jaya District, Solok Regency have not been fully implemented, due to the difficulty in adjusting the timing of the implementation of the Assisted Nagari Team activities with Nagari Activities, limited funds and land and lack of community knowledge about Tourism Awareness Groups. For this reason, assistance to POKDARWIS in Assisted Nagari needs to be carried out on an ongoing basis for the development of Ecotourism in Nagari Koto Laweh.
