It is hoped that the results of this research will provide information for breeders, especially about the benefits of using palm fruit in free-range chicken feed. This research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 (four) treatments and 5 (five) replications. In the research done with 60 head native chickens 1 (one) month ages. The research results showed that the increase in body weight of native chickens in the P0 treatment = 15.23 grams; P1 = 11.43 grams; P2 = 14.59 grams; and P3 = 14.14 grams. Feed consumption in treatment P0 = 81.44 grams; P1 = 63.85 grams; P2 = 62.86 grams; and P3 = 62.71 grams. Feed conversion in treatment P0 = 5.80; P1 = 5.96; P2 = 4.47; and P3 = 4.65. The research results can be concluded that the use of 50 % palm fruit (P2) native chicken feed produces relatively the same body weight gain as the control treatment (P0), relatively efficient feed consumption compared to other treatments, and relatively the same feed conversion as using 25% palm fruit ( P3).
Beri Suharto, Syahro Ali Akbar, Rica Mega Sari, Tri Astuti Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Peternakan Mahaputra http://ojs.ummy.ac.id/index.php/jpm/article/view/449 Sun, 30 Apr 2023 00:00:00 +0800 Hubungan Paritas, Jarak Beranak, dan Jenis Kelamin Terhadap Bobot Lahir Anak Sapi Limousin di Balai Pembibitan Ternak Unggul Hijauan Pakan Ternak Padang Mengatas http://ojs.ummy.ac.id/index.php/jpm/article/view/447
This study aims to determine the relationship between parity, calving distance, gender, and birth weight of Limousin calves at BPTU-HPT Padang Mengatas. The material for this research is recording data from 29 Limousin cattle consisting of parities I, II, and III which are kept at BPTU-HPT Padang Atasas. The method used in this research is the case study method and sampling was carried out using purpose sampling. Data was obtained by looking at the recording records for Limousin cattle at BPTU-HPT Padang Mengatas. The variables observed were parity, birth spacing, and gender as variable variables and birth weight as a fixed variable. Data analysis used multiple linear regression and processing using the SPSS 22 for Windows program to look for variables that were strongly related to birth weight. The results showed that the average birth weights at parity I, II, and III were 32.34 kg, 42.17 kg, and 44.14 kg. The increase in birth weight occurred starting from parity II and III amounting to 12.22% and 12.79%. The average calving distance between Calving Interval I and Calving Interval II was 588.79 days (19.62 months) and 550.41 days (18.35 months). The percentage of female calves at parity I and II was 51.72% while the percentage of male calves was 48.28%. At parity III the percentage of male calves was 37.93% while female calves were 62.07%. Based on the correlation results, an r-value of 59.2% shows that the variables tested have a strong relationship. This means that there is a correlation between parity, birth spacing, gender, and birth weight. To determine the measured parameters, statistical analysis was carried out using a two-sample t-test. The parameters measured in this study were the amount of milk production (ml/cow/day), fat content (%), and protein content (%). The results of the research showed that the average production, fat content, and protein content of milk from Ettawa crossbreed goats fed forage with added tofu waste and without tofu waste were respectively 765.83 ml/head/day and 343.33 ml/head/day; 5.71 % and 6.95 %; 3.89 % and 3.52 %. From the research results, it can be concluded that there is a difference between the amount of production, fat content, and protein content of Ettawa crossbreed goat milk given tofu waste.
Nur Laila Anjuka, John Hendri, Rica Mega Sari Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Peternakan Mahaputra http://ojs.ummy.ac.id/index.php/jpm/article/view/450 Sun, 30 Apr 2023 00:00:00 +0800 Pengaruh Penggunaan Tepung Jangkrik (Gryllus Sp.) The experiment was carried out using a Randomized Block Design with 4 treatments and 4 groups. The treatments in this study were a combination of rice straw and tithonia without fermented by local microorganisms (P0) as a control, a combination of rice straw and tithonia by local microorganisms and 0 days incubation (P1), a combination of rice straw and tithonia by local microorganisms and length incubated for 7 days (P2). , a combination of rice straw and tithonia by local microorganisms was length incubated for 14 days (P3). Based on the results of statistical analysis, shows that the fermentation time of rice straw and tithonia (Tithonia diversifolia) with local microorganisms in the contents of the cow's rumen has an insignificantly different effect (P>0.05) on dry matter digestibility and crude protein digestibility and had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the digestibility of organic matter.
Yesi Paramita Sari, tri astuti, Alfian Asri Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Peternakan Mahaputra http://ojs.ummy.ac.id/index.php/jpm/article/view/451 Sun, 30 Apr 2023 00:00:00 +0800
