The number of samples in this research was 60 samples. The analysis was carried out descriptively and quantitatively. The results of the research show that: 1) The existence of the reserve group in Lake Singkarak plays a role in maintaining the cleanliness of the water environment of Lake Singkarak, ensuring that endemic fish in Lake Singkarak are not rare, prohibiting fishermen from catching fish by using prohibited fishing gear such as poisonous materials, charts, sentrums and other dangerous tools. Meanwhile, the function of the reserve is as a fish sanctuary, preserving rare endemic fish (almost extinct), for example the bilih fish in Lake Singkarak, can be used as a research site for rare endemic biota and several endangered species for breeding. 2) The existence of a real reserve provides a difference in income and profits for traditional fishing fishermen around the reserve compared to traditional fishing fishermen who are far from the reserve, with an income difference of IDR. 7,776,000 and the profit difference is IDR. 9,171,547 or with a percentage of 52.11%.</p> Yusmi Nelvi Mardianto Mardianto Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Ilmiah Bareh Solok 2024-02-10 2024-02-10 9 1 1 13 10.36665/jibs.v9i1.460
