This research was conducted in the Halal Tourism Area in Tanah Datar Regency. The purpose of this research was to determine whether the Socio-Economic, Local Culture, Knowledge had an effect on the Development of Halal Tourism Areas in Tanah Datar Regency. The research method used is the method of incidental sampling technique. From this population, 100 respondents were
taken, the data collection method used observation, interviews and questionnaires. The test results for multiple linear regression coefficients can be the equation Y = 29.778 + 0.271 X1 + 0.218 (X2) + 0.245 (X3), then the independent variable is socioeconomic, Local Culture, Knowledge together has a positive sign linkage to the Development of a Tourism Area. The variables that
were not examined in this study were Stakeholders, Facilities and Infrastructure, and Tourism Group. The results of the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained a value of 0.196 that the contribution between the socioeconomic variables, local culture, knowledge was 0.196 or 19.6% and was influenced by other variables (100-0.196) was 80.42%. The variables that were not examined in this study were Stakeholders, Facilities and Infrastructure, and Tourism Group.
